Concept projects

Some architectural firms use concept projects to compile the many ideas that may come while working on a project. While a project my retain few of the ideas, many others are lost while they reveal the creativity of a team. A concept project is a fake project, that was not ordered by any customer, and that is designed to inspire other customers on the potential creativity of a team. A concept project can be shown without confidentiality restrictions and it usually reveals the inner personality of the architect. It might never be built for several architectural reasons, but it might carry the dreams of the whole team. A concept project builds the cohesion that a real project might not create.

Concept projects are also a portofolio of ready made projects that you can show to your clients without any restrictions. When you are a freelancer, or when you work for short time mission in a company, you may get your experience from those missions, but you cannot show them because of the confidentiality between you and your client. I have worked on the lights and marbles for a project of  $25,000,000, but because of the client, I cannot communicate on this project. The concept projects are designed to bypass restrictions.
